So, I got a call from my job today saying that they were closing my department down most the week (I can't remember what days I kind of dazed out in shock when I heard the word "close"). So for me this means next week im only getting seven hours.. I thought eighteen hours this week was bad.. How am I supposed to support my family? This is stupid, with seven hours a week I wont even be able to make rent..
My boyfriend is really trying to get a job, but there just isn't much work in town and all the jobs you can get are part-time and all the high school kids are filling those for the summer.
I'm so stressed out I just want to cry.. Why is this happening? Don't they even care about our department and those working in it? What kind of person do you have to be to cut back so many hours that your employees cannot even make rent or feed their family? It's ridicules.

Updates
Well, I finally ordered a toybox from online. I LOOVE IT.. I cannot wait to get it.. I hope it doesn't take to long. :)
Annnnd... I am making a bed set for my son. I will be sure to post pictures of it when I finish. Who knows how long that will take! HA
Anyways, it's going to have a blanket, three matching sheets (we all know how many sheets babies go through), a pillow case and a bumper pad. I know people have issues with bumper pads and I have thought about the problems.. But my son is over a year old now.. Not only that but since he could move in his crib by himself he has been pushing himself to the top of his crib and pressing his head against the railing. This worries me because I hate to think he's uncomfortable. Also, he always gets his arms and legs caught in between the bars or lets them hang out and one of our kittens likes to play and ends up waking him up by attacking his arm. So, I think I will take the chance and put a bumper pad in.. If I see any problems with it though I would be more than happy to take it out I just think it's in his best interest to have one.
Oh, and one more thing.. some people say that it helps kids climb out of their cribs.. HA, funny.. Not with our crib.. It's lowered to the lowest setting on the crib and even if there were a bumper pad in there he still wouldn't be able to reach chest level on the top rail.. So, im pretty sure we are safe. It's a super deep crib and he wont be able to climb out until we need to change it to a day bed anyways.
I finally got a new fish tank.. The old one I had, I have had since I was eleven.. I am almost twenty now.. It was so out of date and things needed to be replaced, so I just got a new one.
Anyways, when I was finally able to get fish (went to the store TWICE and both times the ladies there told me I needed something else for my tank before I was able to get fish or else they could get sick and die) the next day I couldn't find one of them.. So I left it, shrugged it off and went out for a few hours.. When I got home I couldn't find the other one! (We only bought two albino sharks and two frogs because the lady said that I shouldn't put to many fish in at once and the other one I wanted was being treated for "Ick" so I was ok with waiting).. I looked, on a hunch, behind my tank and WAH-LAH! There were my two albino-20-dollar-fish (ten bucks a piece) all dried up. Luckily, the lady at the store said that they have a one week refund system on their fish. She told me when I got them if they die (she didn't say how) I bring back the bodies and the receipt and I get new fish. I better get some new fish. I don't really understand how they jumped out, I have a lid on my tank.. So, my boyfriend and I think that they got out through the small opening that the filter is in.. Just to make sure no more new fish ever jump out that way I cut up some cardboard and taped them over the two small openings at the back. I will not lose anymore fish, dammit!!!

Birthday Bliss
Well, my son's first birthday has come and gone and the stress of getting it ready and what not is finally starting to go away. However, the stress of what to do with all the toys is getting worse! Our place is a disaster zone with toys and no where to put them.. I do not like to live like this and I know it's difficult to have a baby in a messy place, one who is trying to learn to walk but can't because there is barely no room.
I am happy that a lot of what he got for his birthday was clothes.. But the toys still build up, and the toys seem to get bigger with age!
He got a really cool Caterpillar Mega Blocks 3 in 1 toy, but it's pretty big.. Our boy can sit in the box part! I am already stressing over Christmas, and that's a long ways away. To me, however, it feels right around the corner and I can see the toys building up more and more.
We need to get a toy box.. But I am picky and do not want just anything.. I would love a toy box with a lid that can double as a bench so that it's not just a box sitting there and can have more than one use so it isn't in the way. Also, the toy box needs to be child-proof.. So, a no slam lid would be great or one with a little notch cut out of the front so no little fingers get slammed.
I have only found one in town and it has those silly "In the night garden" characters on it.. My boyfriend and I find it very creepy and don't want it because of that.. Also, if im going to buy one might as go all the way and get a nice solid one that will last for years.
Anyways.. The party was ok, family and some friends came.. It was fairly entertaining and once it was happening, less stressful than I thought it would be.. I made things so bad for myself before the party I almost had a panic attack on multiple occasions.. I will be sure to take it easier next time!!!

Hm..
It seems like the more I chatter away to people I know about cloth diapers, the newest baby trends, a cool all natural/baby safe shampoo or bubble bath I found online... The more, I feel alone... Does anyone else feel that way?
Perhaps after having my baby I have changed to much.. All my friends and the people I know are interested in partying, going out drinking and hanging out at the bar.. Or some other type of activity like that.. See, I have never really been into those kinds of things.. But now im really not. I can barely relate to people my own age anymore!
I really do need more friends with small kids.. Then at least we would have some common ground to start chatting about, I could relate to them and them to me.. I wouldn't seem so weird and awkward trying to start a conversation.. And im sure they wouldn't get so bored so quickly with what I was chatting on about.
My boyfriend can also only take so much of my chatter.. He's interested, but only for so long.. Then I can tell he is no longer interested because he just kinda nods and goes "uh huh"..
It all feels quite lonely.. =(

YES!
Yay! I got my diaper a couple days ago along with the soap nuts. I was so happy as a squealed to open my package.
Tiny TreeHugger, I will definably buy from you again! The shipping was so quick.
Soap nuts not only look weird, they smell weird too. They look slimy! haha.. But hey, if they do the trick.. Then so be it!
Anyways, once I get enough cloth diapers I will wash them up and try them out.. Then I will be sure to write a review on what I think of them!
Also.. I just ordered another cloth diaper online today! I ordered a Baby Soft Wrap diaper, it has a cute pattern of a bunny playing baseball on it. I can't wait for it to come in! I believe it is inportant to try out different types of diapers to see what works the very best. (however, I think AppleCheeks will be our main stash!)

Yay!
Yippie! I am so exsighted to get my package.
I just ordered the limited addition chocolate AppleCheeks cloth diaper. We sell these in town, they just don't have the limited addition ones.. So I was so happy to find a Canadian website that takes Paypal that had this diaper in my son's size!
I also bought "Kaley's soap nuts" detergent. We don't have any cloth diaper friendly soaps in my town (that I know of), so I hope that these work well. :)
I bought all of these from a site called Tiny TreeHugger, cute site.. And Canadian! Right now five percent profit of anything you buy goes toward the Haiti relief fund. How amazing is that!
I just cannot wait to get this package! I am going to squeal for joy to open it!

Whoo!
Apparently those Dolls I made (my post below) are a huge hit with the kids!
Not only does my Nephew adore his doll, but his friend liked it so much that he stole it from him. Very funny, but don't worry he got his doll back.
Anyways, onto a new topic. :)
My boyfriend and I are going to be cloth diapering our son, eleven months late... But later is better than never! I am so excited.. We bought our first diaper a little while ago, it was an Apple cheeks mini test kit. So it came with one all in one cover and three inserts. The best thing about this cloth diaper is that you can put the liners into the diaper (it's pocket) or just lay it inside.. And no matter what you do you do not need to remove the liner from the pocket, you can just place it into the washer as is and it will come out by itself. Wonderful! No sticking my hands into wet diapers.. That's great!
If you want to know more about cloth diapers and Apple cheeks in general this blog has a lot of great information on it.

Solemn Dollie
This is a product I have made.. The photo is bad quality because I need a new camera.. haha!
Anyways.. It is called "Solemn Dollie".. This one is my boy pattern, I am still working on the girl pattern. This set is made out of a very soft yellow fabric and has hand embroidered blue eyes and mouth (mouth is done in black thread)..
This is my very first time doing anything like this.. I have never hand embroidered anything and I am VERY happy with how it came out.
I think in the future I will make clothes to fit these dollies and sell those as well.. Every doll is only five dollars and I plan on doing free shipping to those in British Columbia, Canada. :)
You can find them, among other things, in my shop at Zibbet.. http://www.zibbet.com/midnightmystic/
Any suggestions to what colors you would like to see for the next set of dolls would be appreciated. I was thinking of doing pink or brown. :)
